"Esham the Unholy is the inventor, pioneer, and godfather of the Detroit 'acid rap' scene, a type of hip hop that the media have labeled horrorcore. He founded the group Natas ('nation ahead of time and space') and has written, produced and engineered over a dozen records in the last ten years. His legendary rock-infused rap style has influenced artists like Kid Rock, Eminem and his tour mates over the summer of 2000 Insane Clown Posse. Esham's latest release (Bootleg (from the Lost Vault) Vol. 1) is distributed by TVT Records and is currently in stores; his new release Tongues is set for release in early 2001. Look for Esham this summer on the national 'Tattoo the Earth' festival tour, a celebration of the 'cultural phenomenon of body art.'"
