Agalloch with Jex Thoth

The name of this folk metal band originates from a dark, resin-embedded wood called agar wood, used in many cultures as incense. They formed in 1995 as a duo with John Hauhgm and Shane Breyer, and their sound has always been described as cinematic metal, as if composed as the soundtrack of a movie. Doom metal and post-rock tendencies are potent in their newest album, The Serpent & The Sphere, which dropped earlier this may. It can be described as a metallic blend between acoustic and black metal with songs such as "Birth and Death of the Pillars of Creation" and "Celestial Effigy."
