  • The Fillmore

"Metro Detroit's destination for the ultimate entertainment experience. The Fillmore is located in the heart of the Detroit Theatre District. Built in 1925, it is a major work of one of the nation's most illustrious architects, C. Howard Crane. The opulent Renaissance classical style continues to make it one of the most desirable venues in the area. Indeed, the Fillmore is one of the few theatres in the district to have enjoyed continuous operation." – from the Fillmore's Web site

Korn

When Korn first emerged into a mid-’90s nu-metal scene, the five young men oozed intensity. That bass-heavy sound was still fresh, and the fact that we had a singer still suffering after years of bullying at school (Jon Davis) in a band with one of the guys who did the bullying (Fieldy) made for some fascinating intra-band friction. That first album was a killer. The second wasn’t bad. But they just kept getting worse. Now, Korn is a band of rich, middle-aged dudes who really have nothing to be angry about anymore. Still, those old songs are worth a night out.
