The Tossers
For those not in the know, the name of the Chicago band the Tossers refers to a British (and Irish) term for jerking off. They say “tossing off” and so, to call somebody a tosser is kinda like calling somebody a jerk-off, or even a wanker. That said, these guys are apparently lovely geezers who haven’t gotten the slightest bit bitter despite the fact that they predate better-known Celtic punk rock bands like the Dropkick Murphys and Flogging Molly. They’ll wail, hoot and holler about drinking, girls and the Emerald Isle — and we’ll lap it up. The Pietasters, Continental, 1592 and St. Thomas Boys Academy round out the bill.
