Media and LGBT Visibility: The Changing Landscape of Representation and Equality

This event is about the dramatic impacts of television, both entertainment and news programming, on LGBT equality – both historically and in our contemporary media environment.  Speakers include Garrett Glaser, retired broadcast journalist – the first national journalist to come out on air; Matt Kane, Associate Director of Entertainment Media, GLAAD; and MaryAnn Watson, nationally recognized EMU Electronic Media scholar.
