Gold Tapes Fest: Feelings / The Kickstand Band / Instant Party

Ever since we happened upon Feelings at Hamtown’s Labor Day Festival last year, we’ve been slowly building up a fascination bordering on obsession. These guys kick ass, and they do it with, umm, feelings. Throw them on a bill at the Garden Bowl with the might Kickstand Band and we have one hell of a bill on our hands. This show is a part of the Gold Tapes citywide showcase, offering up some of the best garage rock that the city has to offer in this decade. Gold Tapes, for those not in the know, only release albums on cassette tape, which is why we had to buy a Walkman on eBay for $5 to review something once. (See Jeff Milo’s piece in the Music section.)
