See, if you have a name like RJD2, you had better start bleeping and blooping like a Star Wars droid. This Philadelphia-based rapper doesn’t do that, though, preferring to rap like an expert. His “A Beautiful Mind” song has been the theme tune to Mad Men since 2007, meaning that his audience might be made up as much of sleazy advertising execs and rock ’n’ roll wannabes as it is with true rap fans, but there’s nothing wrong with a wide appeal. He sometimes performs and records under the name the Insane Warrior, so it’s tough to know who will show up on Saturday. John Arnold, Eastside John and K@Dog also play.
