Denney and the Jets

Alright, let’s ignore the ridiculous, Elton John-inspired name. It sucks, and the music that this band creates deserves better. The Nashville quintet, led by Chris Denney (hence the name), plays soul- and country-infused rock ’n’ roll that brings to mind the likes of Danko Jones, the Supersuckers and our own Dirtbombs. Therefore, expect a night of hootin’ and hollerin’, heavy drinking and hardcore dancing. Hallelujah, the spirit of rock ’n’ roll is being dragged out of the gutter and onto the Stick stage, kicking, screaming and making one helluva noise.
