L.A.’s DJ Bl3nd is fucking nuts. The guy wears masks that make him look like a cross between Slipknot and the Exploited, and the punk influence doesn’t stop there. Like Ultraviolence, Bl3nd, er, blends punk rock with his rapid-fire, gabba electro noise to create a truly unique, terrifying and exhilarating sound. It’s crossover at its finest, and fans of all styles should give Bl3nd a shot. “Am I fucking crazy?” Bl3nd asks on the track “Berzerk.” “Fucking yes,” is the obvious response. Detroit’s own dubstep maestro Matt Clark is also on the bill.
