Monster Drawing Rally

Part performance, part workshop, part art bazaar, all fun, the Monster Drawing Rally is a chance to watch your favorite local artists create original drawings on the fly. About 10 artists will draw in one-hour shifts, three shifts and about 30 artists in all. As the drawings are completed, they’re hung on the walls and made available for purchase for $40 each. Proceeds from the event provide direct support for MOCAD’s programs. The artists’ work goes from comics to conceptual, photorealists to abstraction, pretty much anything goes both inside and outside the box. Among the participants are Davin Brainard, and two names familiar to MT followers, former design directors director Justin Rose and Sean Bieri.
