  THREE LIARS AND THE TRUTH From their beginnings as art students and record shop employees in Los Angeles, to their record deal with Mute Records, the 1970s-British-post- punk-inspired Liars have taken to the road to show off their stylistic range and sweet rhythms. The three-piece band, consisting of frontman Angus Andrew, percussion and synth wizard Aaron Hemphill, and drummer Julian Gross, will perform in Detroit. Unknown Mortal Orchestra and Deastro will open. At the Magic Stick, 4120 Woodward Ave., Detroit; 313-833-9700; doors at 8 p.m.; $15.
